Malcolm Elliott, a former London firefighter, established Elliott’s Tree Surgery in 1999 with a simple approach: provide reliable, professional work and do the job properly.
More than 25 years later, that approach hasn’t changed. Elliott’s remains a family-run local business, providing tree surgery, fencing, hedge cutting and landscaping across East Grinstead and the surrounding areas.
Much of our work has always come through repeat customers and recommendations — something we believe says more about the standard of our work than anything we could say ourselves.
Today, Elliott’s is moving into a new era, building on more than 25 years of local experience and reputation. While the business continues to grow and develop, the principles it was founded on remain exactly the same.

Daniel Elliott, Malcolm’s son, is taking on a larger role within Elliott’s, working alongside his father as the family business enters its next chapter.
Daniel has been involved with Elliott’s since the age of 16, gaining hands-on experience across the business. Alongside Elliott’s, Daniel has built experience in the corporate world, working across sales, commercial management and business development — experience he is now bringing back into the family business.
Our ambition is to establish Elliott’s as the leading tree surgery and fencing business in West Sussex, with a longer-term vision to become a recognised name across the South East.
That means investing in our people, equipment and professional standards, expanding our capabilities and building a business equipped to serve both residential and commercial customers.
But as Elliott’s grows, the principles behind the business won’t change. We want our customers to know who they’re dealing with, trust the people carrying out the work and know that, whatever the size of the job, it will be done properly.

Working with trees and outdoor spaces comes with a responsibility to look after the environment around us. Wherever practical, we aim to make responsible choices in the way we work and encourage our customers to do the same.
RESPONSIBLE TREE CARE
Where appropriate, we consider pruning and management options that can help retain healthy trees rather than removing them unnecessarily.
REUSING MATERIALS
Where practical, timber and woodchip produced through our work can be reused or recycled and put to further use.
PLANTING FOR THE FUTURE
We encourage suitable replacement planting and are happy to advise customers on new planting where appropriate.
